Aviatrix Bessie Colman 1892-1926

If you don't know about her you should look her up. First black female pilot, first Native American pilot. Born to share croppers in Texas, one of 13 children.  Determined to fly but had to learn in France since no school in America would admit a woman or a black person. Tragic death.
